Service Engine

When I start up the sled, the service engine flashes on the screen a few times then goes off, not the check engine light. Is this a user pre set thing for maintenance schedule, or is it a engine sensor thing setting it off?

Yes, it is for the maintenance schedule (I think it is set at like 20 hours or something from the factory). You can change the intervals or turn it off (everyone I know has turned it off). The procedure is in your owners manual.

Thanks, yah I thought i rememberd that from the manual but am outta town with the sled and wanted to make sure it is ok to keep riding.

Not a bad idea to give 'er a once over and turn it off but I prefer to set it high so as to remind me once in a while to do so and look for things that have fallen off the ole tractor!
