separate air filters on a nonturbo rx-1

that stock air cleaner box is pretty heavy does anyone know if its a good idea to put separate filters on each carbuerator. has anyone done this? do they cause a problem with deep snow?

I think the air box is better. You will get warm under hood air with filters, not cold outside air like from the air box.

I tried running an ECP kit (K&N Fliters) on my '03 RX-1M...not a good setup for the mountain/deep snow scene from my experience....,

Don't do it the stock box works best --- it is all in the clutching on that old beast.

Keep the stock airbox, if not your getting yourself in trouble, lot of trouble with freezing, choking, hot air, bad gas mileage.

Filter sound cool, but for the deep snow, its the worst move you can do.
