seized rt 1000

Had my rt seize up yesterday about 2 minutes off the trailer, got the primary to turn, changed the plugs and started it up and seized it again 5 or so miles down the road, also blew fuse for the fuel pump and coil next time. Is this all related together or one cause the other? Was not running it hard at all when the first seize happened. Any others have any similar experience? I did put RKT domes in it this fall and probably have around 500 miles with no problems so far, but could it be the cause. Sled is down at the dealer now and I'll get informed tomorrow on the damage. Thanks for the input.

,,,?,,,the fuel pump fuse blowing may be a sign of a fuel pump going and thus the fuel pressure was low and caused a lean burn-down,,, a real shot in the dark, but something to consider/blame if you find out the fuel pump is weak,,, lots of threads in mach section in Dootalk regarding low fuel pressure,,,,

When mine burnt down come to find out the fuel pump was bad also, check on it. Make sure you are warming it up good before you hammer down, could have been a cold seize , happens to some guys just off the trailer a mile down the trai l same thing

Bingo!! Low pressure fuel pumps failing causing lean condition. At least you're lucky enough to have the fuse burnt. Some have while others haven't. Some guys don't get this lucky due to doo releasing a bulletin raising the rating to a 20 amp fuse and it happens all over again.

Rebuild an RT=Replace fuel pump.
