SEELEY LAKE

Yes, this is my second year with Motorfist. Also sponsored by MTNTEK and Grip & Rip racing. Trying to go through the motions and eventually make my way to the top. The goal I'm perusing is to be able to ride every day through winter as a backcountry guide. It's a ways off… lol

Snowmobile rentals

can somebody post some names and contact information for places that provide rentals for the Seeley lake or Lincoln areas. I'm thinking of heading out sometime in a few weeks and want to make sure I can secure a sled and find the best rate.

Try Seeley Lake sport rentals. I believe they might still rent sleds. 550 fan cooled Polaris Trail Rmk or Yamaha phazers if memory serves me right. I think they have a two up to rent as well. Expensive however.

As for Cabin rentals try the Double arrow resort, tamaracks or the lodge on seeley lake/eagles nest. I always stay at the Double Arrow. They have a lodge with a restaurant/bar. Also many cabins to fit your family size. Yes you can leave from any of these places I believe. Definitely can leave from Double Arrow. Also if bringing little kids, take the horse sleigh ride with the kids. They take you around the golf course and can be great for the little ones. You can also try www.vrbo.com and try and find a personal cabin.

Just got back from the elsina, Dinah area. It was pretty thin up to the warming hut and through the clear cut behind. Once we got past the clear cut and into elsina and Dinah it got better, we had 8 of us and no one hit anything and we pretty much rode everywhere we wanted.

Eh on the bright side you will have it sorted by the time the deep and fluffy hits

Went back up today, and had another good day. Snow is pretty soft still, maybe 18" of dense powder. Hardly any other people. It's definitely thin on snow, it's pretty fun jumping off rocks that are usually 100% covered.

Rode both days. Saw Carl and his crew. Those arctic cats sure were running good. I was the one on the black t3 174.

Rode the East side Saturday and Sunday. No good snow over there. :face-icon-small-win Can't believe how good my bone stock XM runs.

The snow pack is really good for this time of year, although it looks like it will be warm and raining this week.

Rode up saturday up elsina and dinah area. Saw Carlc's gang on the trail on the way out.

Definately plenty of things to bump into if your not careful on the rock outcroppings. But the density of the snow kept skis up and relatively safe. We had a blast, nobody broke anything, and its WAY better then the 2' of rotten snow we have in bozeman right now.

Carl,

Good to run into you guys in the trees down there! We will have to meet up when the snow gets deep!
