Does anyone have any ideas what kind of game camera or security camera that I could use that doesnt have any kind of flash that would work night or day to catch thiefs trespassing on an old farmyard.Caught them once but cops wouldnt charge them cause they didnt have anything in their hands.Now they come at night and loot what they can.

Ther'es security cams with IR illumination on them. Invisible to the human eye, well detected by electronic eyes. Pretty sure even radioshark carries them. Get one of those and a timelapse VCR or video recording software on your computer if you have an analog input or two on your PC.

VHS cassettes are cheaper than the digital systems, but if you have analog in on the computer and only need one channel you could probably find software that'll record to HDD and save some coin that way.

Im thinking more battery powered drivewayalarm since the old farmyard is a mile away and the power is shut off there.Then if someone drives in the yard it will ding at our house.I might try a deer camera hidden as long as they dont have a red light or flash.

You might look at Cabellas, they have many different models available.
This camera has a wireless walkie-talkie that will give an alert if the camera senses something in range.

i talked to a logitech rep about these. was gonna get one but past -15 celcius, no worky well.

had to go different with the -30 we get in edmonton.

Do a little research and testing for your environment. I manage a security system on a bus system and we use infrared cameras, b&w and color cameras. The color don't work so well in the dark but the B&w don't show as much detail (or color!). We had to do some playing with the surrounding lights to get them to work well.

Dont have camera yet but I caught some other asshazz out for a saturday steal.My dad had his lookout blocked in with his truck already so when I pulled up this lady gets out and starts yappin I drop my endgate and my 135 pound rottie jumps out I never seen a lady run so fast back to her van.She is almost crying and she says she is going to call the cops I said good it would save me from phoning them.Then I lift the gate to the property so my dog can go under she rolls her window down and sobs there is small kids in there I look back and yell better hope I find them before he does.All I hear is beep beep as she dials her phone.LOL.We caught a guy and his 2 young kids in the old farmhouse.Nobody got bit this time.LOL.I had my mossberg on the seat but the sight of the rottie was enough I will never forget the look in her eyes thinking her kids and huband or whatever might never come back.lol.
