I will be riding out of saratoga end of Jan. Never been to snowies before. Any help on where to go and where to stay away from would be sweet. Riding in a group of 8 if it matters.

riding in the snowies

It depends on what type of riding you want. North of hiway 130 is higher elevations with more hill climbing. If it's really windy, you can go south which is usually more trails through the trees, but you can find open areas to play in too. Starting from the south, Albany lodge has food and gas. Then there's the Rendezvous, Medicine Bow Lodge, and the Place on the west side. Snowy Mountain lodge on the east side, just up from Centennial. All those places have food and gas. Depends on where you are staying and mother nature.

where can you all get gas around The Place. No race gas just pump premium

buying gas

The Place sells gas. Medicine Bow Lodge is what is just down the road. They sell gas too. Down a little further is the Rendezvous. It sells gas too. Mountain Meadow cabins is on the east side about a 1/2 mile from Snowy Mountain Lodge. The lodge sells gas. I'm pretty sure Mountain Meadow does not sell gas. Most all the gas you buy on the mountain is pump premium.
