We have a group heading out to Ryan Park Wyoming in mid February. We already have lodging. I have never been there and want to hear from some of you guys. Whats the riding like? Any places a guy should see while out there? I have been to the Bighorns and the Dubois / Tog area several times, so we decided to try somewhere new this year. Any feedback you guys can give me is appreciated!

i have been going to the snowies for the past 4 years. The riding is great and the sites are breath taking. Couple places to see are the lookout. And ride over to the snowy mountain lodge. Both are neat to see.
The riding areas are plentiful lots of play areas for boondocking and many climbing opportunities . The altitude is higher than most those other places. The riding areas are mostly over 10,000ft
Grab a map when you get there and it's pretty hard to get lost.

On that side of the mountain there is the rendezvous and The place. Both good places for food. saritoga has a natural hot spring that is open to the public. It's called the hobo pool .Very nice to soak if you get in to town.

On the top go see widow maker and the gap(i think they call it the gap) it's a natural half pipe that you can ride through it's pretty long. The quealy warming hut is a nice spot. Have a great time!

Guide?

Get ahold of me! I own a guide company for snowy range and we have a permit for both sides to guide this year, our rates are very cheap and I garantee we can show you some spots most don't know of! Website and myspace links at the bottom of my signature! Check us out. Riding is awesome from that side!

Awsome riding out of Ryan's park.
I have stayed at Rendezvous a number of times.
Loads of places to go from there.
If you want some ideas of places to check out for open riding, pm me.

I live in Cheyenne, we ride out of Albany(about 20 or 25 miles from Ryan Park). You can access appx. 330 miles of trails(200 groomed) and tons of backcountry from Ryan Park. You'll love it in February. Have fun!

The natural halfpipe is called the rollercoaster. It is at the west end of the gap lakes, due west of the widowmaker.

These are all from the snowies in the last couple of years.

The whole snowy range area is a great place to ride. Any type of riding you want, it's up there. I drove up to Ryan Park on saturday and the snow is starting to build up nice. Get ahold of snowcross338 if you want a guide i've heard nothing but good stuff about them.

What are our options for gas and food close by? It looks like alot of riding over 9000'. I'm guessing maybe I should clutch my sled for 9000+ instead of 6000-9000'?

Clutch for 10,000. Gas and food(beer at the Place and Rondevous)are close by on the west side where you're staying. After you get up top, Snowy Mountain Lodge(no beer) has gas&food, Albany Lodge to the east-same services and a nice bar.

Call Snowy Mountain tours best guide service on the mountain bar none!!!
They rent Yamaha's
Kody, Dan, Little Kody, Paul, and Jim will take care of you
