Rumblings of a 2012 model launch on Polaris Snowmobiles Facebook page....

you know I find it funny. Alot of BNG and less horsepower talk that about this current year and next year yet, every time I go for a ride I'm the target of a race, someone wants to see where I can go.

To me its not how fast you can get somewhere, its how much fun you have getting there

to me that says it all, I work on them all and being the target means everyone else has something to prove

2013 and 2014 will be good years, 2012 is wrapped up

I was replaying some of the snowmobile freestyle videos on espn from thursday night's X-games and looked for any of the new snowmobiles. I believe they left one out or someone had a custom pro rmk sitting out. It looked a little longer than normal and the rails were painted in like a candy apple red. Here is the link Daniel Bodin Snowmobile Freestyle Gold - ESPN Video - ESPN and it's right at the 52 second mark

The only bad thing about a white sled is you match the snow, i've seen it in the past on them white XCRs and when it's snowing or foggy your an even better target . Nice sleds but hopefully not with a price of being hit.

Gotta be a 900 class, Isn't Skidoo going to a 880 at mid yr? And then AC has something instore also. Just hope they fix all the wiring gremlins and week spots in the chassis! Ought to be a good last half of the yr. if you can get a hold of a machine? Or is this just a preview of next falls offering. Mike

I'd like to see two options in the 2012 Snowcheck...

First, A truly limited edition custom paint & graphics package of say 50 sleds that are "awarded", (lottery style), to those that are drawn randomly. Their Second choice, if they don't win, would be based on their SnowCheck order that they placed.

#2...
Snowcheck really is a place where the sleds can be semi-customized...Choice of body panels colors hood, side panels, nose pan, graphics.... After visiting Roseau this November...this would be easy to implement... and Give people a reason to buy new (good for the consumer... good for the company). Other choices like a 4" Pro-Taper bar or the standard height pro taper bars, shock options (IFP or Piggyback) on the PRO RMK.

Since this is a pre order situation...this program could require a more substantial deposit as the sled is custom made for the customer.... Just dont charge extra for the sled to keep the faithful customers....

Something like the highly successful Burton Snowboards "Series 13" where the end user had a laser engraved emblem that the sled was custom built for "Joe Sledder" and the build date.

Give the Polaris Faithful a reason to be....

Lastly....

Mediana Mkting team... if you are listening... reach out in our age of "Social Media" and choose from inside the Mountain community rather than the normal "Focus Groups" that have been around since the 1920's for direction in color choices.:face-icon-small-sho

More to come in a new thread soon.

pro

it will be more interesting to see what the competition does. i think all of us that own 2011 pros (and people who try to keep up with 2011 pros) can agree that AC and BRP better make drastic changes. i think polaris proved this year its all about weight and not horse power. it will be interesting to see what the near future brings. just think how far sleds have come in the last 5 years. imagine what sleds will be like in another 5 year if progression keeps up at this pace.

Ooooh the infamous "North Central Minn Mediana Marketing Cartel"?:D:D:D

"you will (multi-roll the R) rrrrrun my ads with excellent placement or you will disappear into snowmobile marketing obscurity" (south american accent with a little Minn-e-SOOOOOOOOODA thrown in) Am I being fitted for HMK concrete riding boots?:D

200HP V4 DI 2-stroke with help from the new guys at SwissAuto! Please, I can wish can't I!
Realistically, something to chase the Z1 turbo on the lakes, a 600 Pro, hopefully 2 injector on 800 bottom end, and 137" Pro-Ride!

The new models being introduced will be...

2012 Pro RMK 600 155"
2012 Rush 136"
2012 600 Adventurer (Rush chasis with hard touring cases/system and side panel wind defelectors) Think motorcycle touring bike but a snowmobile.

Diggs

I think you are very close,i'm thinking along the same way.Polaris will come out with some kind of sport sled with plenty of storage options.

Is it not time for Polaris to make a sled designed for the ladies,a Rush style sled that sits a little lower into the suspension for better handling,a plush narrow seat at the fuel tank that tapers back a little wider.Add all the bells and whistles,e start, the most comfortable suspension, make it light, add some kick *** graphics that scream ladies only sled.

I know that's what my wife would buy.

2012.....Ditches the CFI, releases a new 800-1000 DI engine....or maybe we`ll see a new 1000-12000 FOUR stroke engine!!:face-icon-small-hap

conventional skid 136" rush front end with the 600 cfi maybe DI and possibly the 550 Fan. Maybe it's the new shift or XCR? Would like to see a new 4s like the new rzr xp 900 with another cylinder maybe 1300cc pushing 130hp? 600 pro rmk? New IQR
