RT 1000 shutter???

I have an 06 1000 with about 500miles on the motor i bought the sled used.Had it on the trails this weekend and mine would shutter at times from 7000-8000 rpm very often but even worse when i nailed the throttle hard. Im looken for a place to start looking for the problem?

Belt in good shape, proper deflection, and track tension. Might need to take a close look at the clutches.

It's a start...

Now was it a vibration or was the motor cutting out ?

i highly recomend the 07 mid alt mapping.. made mine a whole new animal!!

i would say its a problem with the engine side. Its looseing power and engine hesitates then once i let off the gas then hammer down again it will usually go away.But where i ride i sucks to have this problem because you goin across 2 mile lakes and when somebody pulls upside you haveing the 1000 you should shut most sleds down but you have to hope she dont loose the power at 7000-8000 rpms. ps the sled has 2000 miles on body and bout 500 on rebuilt motor from brp. How long does the remapping take?

Try new Spark plugs?

Yea put a new set of plugs in it iam headed up on the 12th so we'll see what i can figure out how long does it take to do an ecm remap?

Try switching your relays around. Sometimes the fuel pump relay goes bad and causes the fuel pump to lose power momentarily.

I know most people don't think it makes much diferance but those raves need to be clean or it will run like crap up top.

i dropped my sled off to get remapped and picked it up the next day...
