G GlennRMK Free Member Jan 11, 2009 #6 After riding my 09, I would say 7700ish is ideal. But 7600-8000 and it should run just fine. I would shoot to be at around 7800 RPM on the trail and that way in the deep it shouldn't pull you below 7600 RPM.
