Rpm with Slp pipe.

Hi. I have a Switchback Assault 2011 with Slp pipe and can, ported cylinders and shim kit. And my problem is that i dont get any more rpm`s with the stock clutching. Other just throw a can on the machine and gets to much rpm right away, what is my problem? Could it be something wrong with the primary clucth or something?

what was your rpm before the mod you added on? and what are you getting after you added the mod? you want to aim for 8150 +/- 50rpm

I have been in the dyno, so i know where the peak is. Before tuning it was around 8100-8200 rpm while driving, now it doesnt get any higher. It`s the same rpm, but it feels stronger. It is around 20hp more in the engine on the dyno, but in the trail its the same.

Have you changed out the stock secondary spring? If not, you need to, badly...the SB assaults come with a finishing rate less than 100 lbs. The sled will not maintain track speed in deep snow, it won't pull the weight or RPM's it either. Just a quick heads up if you haven't.

You might want to check your weights, bushings, and rollers in your primary as well...remove the spring and slide it in and out, check for smoothness...check the weight bushings to be sure the weight isn't shifting to an angle at full shift and eating into the spider. Otherwise if you haven't changed anything else you should be throwing more weight or RPMs.

TPS

I would recalibrate your TPS sensor and if you havent done that, it's definetly your problem. You can also gain a little rmp's by having your ethanol plug in rather than none ethanol. But I would for sure recalibrate your TPS.

Ok. How do i do that? Can i do that with the pc5 and lcd touch from dynojet? Or is it a job for mye polaris dealer? If it doesnt work with calibration or a different primary spring, what should i do then?

OK

So. I would kind of like to hear what the info was on the pm. always trying to learn from others. Thanks.......

No problem:) If you have Pc5 you can calibrate tps with the computer(laptop). It is 2 ways to do it. And if you have lcd touch 200 you can calibrate the tps with the lcd unit. Just ask if it is something you want to know. And if you have some tips and tricks yourself so just write it down here.

Now i replaced the stock clutch kit with a Heelclicker 2speed kit, and now it is idling at so low as 1300rpm?? And the it goes to 17-1800rpm`s and down again... And i have to hold the throttle a litle bit to get it fired up. Is it the weights that is the problem or could it be something else?

Weights should have nothing to so with that unless its grabbing the belt and dragging down the motor. Check your blet clearance on the primary. Is it squealing?

Ok. It`s turned out to be the bearing on the primary clutch and the bearing to the clutch cover. The primary clutch doesnt move back and forth either, it is LOCKED. And now i almost cant get the cover of, the cover bearing is seriously bad... Looks like i need a new primary clutch.
