ROX Flex Tec II Handguards for Pro Taper

Fitment

I moved my kill switch below the cross bar.

I installed the handguards directly above the cross bar clamps.

The curve of the handlebards interferes some with the clamps from the handguards being paralel with the clamps from the crossbar. The radius gets in the way.

It's definitley higher but it would be even better if the mount ended up exactly parallel to the bar ends. Becasue the clamp can't sit tightly on the hadlebars, it;s dipped slightly down out on the ends so you lose some of the wind protection.

It's definitely better than it was though.

Mounting Location

New Snow Tech photo shows them mounted below the cross bar. The photo/ad is specifically calling out the pro taper bars.

Wonder if anything changed?

They also show what looks like a different plastic backing and refer to a Gen II?

I don't know what the problem is, I've had mine mounted all winter and they work great!

This video is of the older style "non pro taper mounts", the newer mounts don't use a set screw but are a two piece design to mount to the bars
