Awesome! I gotta say that is one sweet a$$ sled - but might be more of a case of hanging XP plastics on the tube chassis you built though eh? :D

C'mon - give us a pic of the whole sled already - enough teasing!

Awesome drag sled! Thats some smart thinking using the makita cordless battery to power the MSD and other components. Light weight and easy to charge. Whats a ball park horsepower output of that MRE motor?

Please keep the pictures coming.

Far from a XP chassis.

INDEEP - Those are some very nice drag sleds. What tracks are you guys running? I might have to get some pointers from ya on the drag setup.

The triples are bad as f! But I don't get the point of a triple in an XP. Isn't the idea light weight???

For some reason the guy that posted those pics in modified performance (the guy that owns the sleds in question) can't seem to log onto snowest anymore... I told him to check this thread out, because so far it's a good thread, However no sign of him???

Found a guy who does what I was talking about. 1200 triple out of 2 800 engines. Uses MSD and looks very clean and stock looking;). We could get one ordered up and stuff it in there:D.

Dave

My idea involves 2 engines cannibalized together to make a triple cylinder reed engine . If we can get some pipes to fit and work we should be in the 200+hp range. All on your dime, we can do it. My money and time = turbo. Cool factor for now would be the turbo for all the attention they are getting now, but after that wears off, I think it would still be cool to see a good old triple rippin' around.

Hey Dave!

What kind of Dollars is a guy looking at to have a 1200 built, and does he have others out there that are working good?

Thanks

Not sure one price. I'm sure he has others out there because he is in the race sled/engine business. I would imagine they run pretty well and are somewhat reliable for a 1200. I think they are built for race only. You could detune it I'm sure.

Sorry I just posted the pics that joshkoltes suggested we look at from the gallery. I have no knowledge or affiliation with these sleds. That dmax site has some even better pics of the triples themselves.
