been a farmer all my life except when i graduated high school I went to college and became a John Deere certified tech.(their factorys are awesome) then went and worked my way up a foreman in construction before i came back to the farming and ranching full time.

have a 04 chev 2500HD with 8.1L and a 93 2500 with 315K on virgin motor:eek: but it's getting a new heart soon enough.

I've been riding since i was 7. good old ski doo citation. now i ride 1500 to 2k miles a year.

try to backpack and mountain bike as much as i can in the summer, but it's usually 7 day work weeks. winter is when i go paly. i gave up dirt biking because i never had time or someone to ride with, plus more money for the sled.

been a skiier since i was a little over 2 years old. sucks splitting up skiing and sledding time.

and to the guys younger than me watch out for speeding tickets in high school, they can cost you a job. It cost me my john deere job. stupid insurance live and learn though.

Great read on this thread though

Hi

John, 69 and kind of ornery now. I spend too much time on politics.
My father was a county road commissioner and he started me on heavy equipment when I was 12 and I never have done any thing else. I worked up to be field superintendent on a 24 million dollar interstate highway. I retired from my own grading business of 25 years, a couple of years ago. I spent a lot of that time grading forest roads. I still run a motor grader for another contractor part time. I now spend most of my time sledding, ice fishing and boat fishing.
2000 700 RMK 159 still runs with the big dogs.
