Rode the new xp on thurs in the snowies My thoughts

My thoughts are this thing rocks I put 40 miles on it thursday the first and last 7 miles on asphalt but the rest was in 2 ft of untouched powder. there was no base but there was about 4and half feet of snow on the ground in the clearings and a little deeper in the trees. You still had to be careful for hidden rocks and stumps. Well the xp did awsome no belt problems no problems what so ever it ran great and guess what I hit some huge rocks under the snow that were alot bigger and harder than pincones and no damage. I did not get to hill climb it very much but what little hills I did attempt it went right over the top no problem. The only issue I had really was the intake screen got clogged with ice and snow a few times and had some bogging becouse of it but i think just watching so the ice does not build up will take care of that problem. The funny thing was that my buddy on his
03 escape got stuck a few times and I did not get stuck at all it is just so lite and flickable that when you feel like you are getting stuck you just rock it side to side a little bit and it walks right out. What an awsome sled. I am going agian on sat so i will post onother report.:)

Thanks for the report NazMan. I'm curious, what did you do for primary clutch set-up? Did you remove or leave the pin wieghts? What setting were you running the clickers on?

Thanks,
-John

The set up was done by mavrick motorsports in laramie so i dont know if the pin wieghts were left in or not I will have to look I know that the clickers are set at 5

NazMan,
Would you be willing to post back your findings regarding the pin weights when you check it out? Lastly, what kind of rpm's were you pulling up there with the clickers set in the #5 position?

Thanks again,
-John

i think the there are no pin wieghts in it cant really tell with out taking it apart. Also it was pulling between 8000 and 8400 rpm I dont really watch rpm that much. I ride more by feel than what the rpm gage says. I can feel when my sled is not running right and plus your rpms can be off sometimes as much 250 to 500 bcouse of vibration and other things. Unless you have a really nice gage set up.

Naz,

Thats one the best things I have read on here for awhile. I have the same set up from Mavericks, just haven't got to try it out yet. Going up in two weeks. Glad to hear you didn't have any problems.

I rode mine for the first time yesterday. I was very impressed. The ride is so comfortable. Power kept getting better, but only got 15 miles. Its going to be a great sled.
