Rode in Heaven yesterday (few pics)

Nice pics! Question though, weren't you worried about avalanche? I need some help here.... I would really turn down that area due to av concern. Help me understand why that would be a safe hill to climb. Thanks in advance.

Everything was preyty stable that day. I always check a hill good before I climb it

I'd like to know too. I'd wanna climb stuff, but don't because of avy risk, so how do you guys know when it's safe to climb? I don't understand how to tell when a slope is "windloaded" or "leeward" I know what the definitions are, but not how to tell. Stick your finger in the air to test the wind? What if it ain't windy?

that last hill does slide reguarly. but not everyhill slides every time. Depends on wind, sun, temp etc. Some days you are safe on that hill some days you aren't. I have climbed out of it and i have stayed away from it also. The run out out the bottom of that hill is amazing. right into a big drainage.

That last hill has some BIG trees at the bottom of it that are the size of a man's leg or waist...that are snapped off.

We saw those one year when Johnny Rigger was in there fixing his chaincase. And it was a hundred yards or more from the bottom of the hill. This was in April and the broken trees tops were about 10feet over our heads. It was a little fookin spooky.

15" feet of fresh powder at HooDoo snotel this morning. NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice shots!!! We're a bunch of lucky bastages! Few people ever come close to enjoying and experiencing anything, even once in a lifetime, like we experience every weekend!

Sunridge, this is the area around home that I prefer to ride...It's quite a bit like what we rode last weekend.....but then we had a FANTASTIC little hole to play in too, eh?
