Robber broke into my house with gun and bat

Thanks for the info and details. Yes the gun adds another level of "holy ****", but good on Roger and his wife for standing up and taking this POS out!!!!!!

You and you wife deserve more recognision (sp) than just SW Kudos!!!!

Easy to say on the internet.... until the guy is standing over your bed, waking you out of a deep sleep, in the dark, with a handgun and flashlight in your face.

Hope everyone who THINKS they are safe because they have a gun under their pillow reads this story and realizes how vulnerable you can be.

I know it has made me think twice (or more).

And more than anything, I hope it never happens to anyone.

lemm me give you a lil tip !!! if they get thru the electric fence and the dogs then we got the 12 gauge shot gun on the other side inwhich the ole lady has perfect capabilty there of .....

LOL...I know the individual this happened to...he has an electric fence and 3 dogs (granted, not exactly guard dogs...sorry Pezz!!).

Anyway, not too difficult to get by a fence and drug the dogs.

You actually make my point for me...false sense of security...good luck!! If someone wants in, they're coming in.
 
aleast pezzer stayed in the room, the two big dogs ran for the hills:). Once the situation was contained I had my wife go find the dogs and I told the alleged perpatrator of the alleged crime that if he did anything to my dogs that was just the opening act.

I truely fell bad for the guy, he was just a dumb desparate guy who was talked into doing it by a smart kniving sneeky shifty crafty wiley lowlife sweet talking lying "piece of sh!t"
 
WOW the plot thickens. I was wondering what the "related situation", or however the news lady mentioned it, was but I'm sure it's still in investigation and will be for some time. so I will not ask what it is.
 
Thanks to my friends that are solving this problem and helping my wife and I get thru this. The hardest part of this is not knowing what is going on but thanks to my friends i have constant updates on everything. Rookierdr is already in the hall of legends in my book and Blackdragon1 is right behind him. And to the rest who have given hours of there time to make are life feel normal. We have armed gaurds sleeping in the house, secured bericaded bedroom, escape plans , field of fire plans . everything has been checked, explained, and reasoned out to make us feel safe in our house.

Some of my cop friends went home and told there wifes if that ever happened that they want to just swing like Donna. Very proud of my wife.
They also say that what we did is what they dream about.

If Rookierdr wants to elaborate on anything else feel free he is even incharge of pr;)

Thanks to my friend that have texted and left messages to me, I well get back to you. I have never been so busy and acompished so little then in the last two days.

I have a saying" picking friends is like drilling for oil, It a lot of work up front and you don't know if you well strike it Rich or more likely get a dry hole and just have to plug it and move on"" I'm a weathy man with my friends

Probably shouldn't elaborate anymore, don't want to impeed the investigation.... I'm hoping to be able to tell the full story very soon! It is much more complicated than most would imagine.
 
Amazing amazing story, glad you are all okay! Just curious, does your state have the "make my day" law like Colorado has? If anyone comes into your house out here you have the right to shoot them.

snowmobiling defintley helped me, I had ahold of his wrists like I was on a out of control sled and when in dought "pin it" . It was full throotle for ten minutes. I remember looking down at my arms and seeing the forearm pump

If you would have killed the guy, you and your wife would have to deal with it both emotionally and legally. I don't think it is something you'd want to go through.
My personal feelings are, you both did a stellar job, and had it come down to defending yourselves to the death, the robber would have been the one leaving in a body bag.
Too bad it wasn't an attorney that broke into your home, these are the guys that turn stuff like this around, and you end up getting sued. I hope this doesn't happen, but it's possible. They flip things around and make up their own versions of the story (a version that the robber would never even think of by himself) and all of a sudden your the bad guy. A bunch of rat pigs. judges, attorneys, and our just legal system, what a joke!!

makes me think how vunerable we are, I can't hear worth a crap, snore loudly and the kids are all the way across the house and up a flight of stairs. tons of windows which arn't always closed or locked because its hot out.

damm, maybe I should get a rotty or two!

Oh man. When we left there last night I was a mess. And Donna just seems so together. Tough lady is an UNDERSTATEMENT! I'm looking at her and feeling rage that someone could do this to such an amazing woman!

Once again, I'm glad I've got to meet these 2 and start to get to know them. And I sincerely hope that they will remain in my life for a long time. Good peeps just doesn't say enough about them.

So glad you are both ok, with only minor injures. And sorry you had to experience this, but I'm proud to know that there are still some real heros in our world today. I only hope if ever in a situation like your's that I coould be brave too.

Man what an unbelievable story. I'm so sorry you & your wife had to go through this. It sounds like you have a great support network around you. I'm so glad you guys are "ok". I'm proud of you for fighting him off. Not sure if I could do the same in your shoes...but I sure hope so! Heal up quickly!!!
