McCall doesnt have enough snow yet, and Ive been getting pummeled with Photos of friends in colorado riding in awesome snow since Thanksgiving.

I myself am considering cutting over from Reno to Utah. Ride there a day depending on snow, then up towards togwotee/snake river OR just head to Grand Mesa area, Steamboat, down to Wolf Creek and then back to Reno. I figure a good 2+ weeks to get through it all. Probably head out on the first storm that hits the sierras... ha! (Jan 11 or so).

If you've never ridden the South Fork area in SOCO, you're missing out on some pretty fabulous snow and terrain. Same can be said for around Steamboat.. and the Mesa.

Rode in Utah (Noblets)three weeks ago and it is pretty thin. They have a base but not much new since.Rode South west Wyoming last week and they have a good base with 2-4 feet of fluf but have to get back 25 miles for it.Next trip might be Colorado.Happy hunting

Road trip

I have friends that are in Cooke city riding they said it is great. I Heard Island park is good also.

Looks like the pacific hose will be aimed at the northern states this week. Target... Priest Lake Idaho. Long drive from Tahoe but desperate times call for desperate measures. Anybody been up there or wants to go?

We are 1 1/2 hours north of spokane. We have a good base 4'+ and more for this week 12" it's snowing hard right know. I have had a couple of calls form Cal/Nev so I will let you now what we have. I owen and run a 10 bedroom lodge just for snowmoblers. You can ride from our front door up the mtn. All your food and lodging for $85 per person at Sundance mt. lodge

How far is it from lets say Sacramento California trailering up?

How much is it to rent a sled?

Nearest reasonably priced airport?

I was in Sandpoint over Christmas and they have a lot more snow than we do, although the brush and small trees hadn't been covered yet. That was 2 weeks ago though. Sandpoint is near priest lake and would be a good place to stage out of because you also have trestle Creek and Roman nose areas to ride as well as being able to drive over to priest lake and down to lookout pass on I-90. Map quest puts the drive time at 14.5 hours but my average is about 16 from Marysville to sandpoint. I was holding 65 pretty much the whole trip, just watch for cops in Oregon since they have a 55mph speed limit. If you go, be prepared to ride the trees!

Roadtrip #1 Picts

Got back from my first roadtrip of the season. It was well worth the 28 hours of drive time.
