RMK or PRO

I'm looking at 2015's and can't decide which one. I know the different components between the two. Of course impossible to test drive at this time, so I have 1 big question.
Is the Pro with the Quick drive anymore responsive, quicker, handle different than the RMK with the chaincase??
FWIW, my 13Pro600 has been excellent, and I love the way it responds in the boondocking dept. Would I know the diff if I jumped on a sled with a chaincase?
Reading on here, there were quite a few guys looking at the 15 std RMK, but haven't seen too many comments on the actual ride time comparing between the 2 drives.

Riding both, back to back, both stock, both snowchecked 2015's... I did not notice any big difference.

The 2015's are unique for the comparison... because both sleds were exactly the same other than the drive and the front tunnel cooler... same A-arms, same seats, handlebars, shocks.

The PRO did have a different sound... but I didn't notice a difference in performance... but then again I'm no Matt Entz...or other riders on here that are in that category that might.

The weight difference between the two sleds was only, if I remember correctly, about 10 lbs... and most of that was from the additional cooling capacity of the Std RMK.

Comparing a standard 2013/2014 to Pro in the same year would not be a fair comparison.

For me, the cooler and the robustness of the chaindrive are excellent upgrades... even at the cost of a few lbs.

If I had to rate throttle response between my 2015 RMK 155 vs. my bro-in-law's 2014 Pro RMK 155... his would score a 9/10 and mine would be a 8.8/10... I would say the difference is BARELY noticable for how and where we ride...

The only reason I bought the std RMK was for the cooling capacity... but the chaincase is still hardly noticable. just my .02

Cheaper to play with gear ratios on the RMK, more costly if you want to go to the newer deeper tracks.

I've had both and can't tell much difference between the belt and chain.

Not exactly the performance question asked, but if the RMK has standard shocks, and not WE's that were offered in 15 on RMKs that were snochecked...

You can revalve the WE's on the Pro, if you need to, and want to keep them. You know this already.

You have to replace the RMK's standard shocks if you want to do anything with them, and they will likely not last more than a season, regardless.

The shock packages would be the primary driver of a decision performance-wise, you know the pro drill well after owning one.

If the 15 RMK has shorter WE clickers, with Fly bars, etc. as a snocheck, it would be a done decision for me, I'd take the more hardened RMK if the prices were not a factor. No carbon, no glued a-arms, no QD issues, added cooling, better shocks. Good luck.

That's the 15 deal to find, an LE with WE clickers, you'll not have so much fun for so little. Congrats!

15 WE clickers

I wouldn't base your decision on the clickers....

If you pound on the sled at all, in stock form,,,they won't last..... My rear track shock was shot within 400 miles...

I didnt think there was a difference when hopping back and forth between the QD and the chain. At the end of the season I hopped on my friends RMK LE and felt a small difference... Enough that it was noticeable? Not really, only because I was paying attention for it...
