Rmk 800 clutching

Thinking of getting new clutch weights for my 2013 rmk 800. I go out west once a year, mostly minnesota riding. I want it to rip in both spots. Any recommendations?

If changing only the flyweights, the appropriate 10-series weight for altitude ridden is going to work very good for minimal $$. An adjustable weight like SLP MTX or the TCP weights are an option if you want to mess with the mass position of the weight. They would still require a different base weight for that much altitude change.

Drop in a set of Polaris 10-60's and ride. Your backshift may be a little lazy with the stock secondary spring, might want to combine with a black/purple.

would this be a good combo for 6500 to 9500 ft? the clutch guide in the owners manual is kinda in between. has stock up to 8000, then the other combo above.
thx

To the OP, depends upon where you ride (elevation). I run regular Team 10-68 weights in Minnesota and 10-62 weights out in Alpine, Wyoming. No spring changes from stock. Works excellent for me and it's a 15 minute swap. If it's Togwotee, I'd probably do 10-60s.

I just started riding in the big horns last year that is at least 10,000 feet. I dont know where I will be going this year, it depends on the snow conditions around christmas time. What are peoples thoughts on mds clutching?
