Rk Tek with Team Rooster adjustable weights

I got a 2011 800 Polaris assault rmk 155 and its stock besides I have a GGB mountain can on it. I bought Rk Teks drop-in kit and Team Rooster adjustable weights and im wondering what everyone runs for weight at certain elevation because I know it will be more than what it suggested by Polaris...The Domes are supposed to be for higher elevation like 6000+ I believe? They say pro 14 DI on them.

I was told to start with 6 grams in the heel, 2 grams in the middle and none in the tip for a total weight of 64 grams. Check for clearance between the weights and the spider once you have them set up. I had to have my spider machined for them to clear with a thick and a thin washer installed under the bolt. Haven't been able to ride yet so I cant comment on how it works.
It sounds like you have 14:1 domes and they would be for 6000'+.

stock 13 pro 155 blue/pink primay black/purple secondary(i added a pa 13.1-1 head today, havnt rode with it yet). 6000ft. 1st attemt 5.6 heel, .8 mid 8450-8550. added .8 to tip 8400-8450. replaced mid .8 with a 2g screw(64.5) 8100-8200 38ish mph track speed. buddy with me has same sled with camo 2.5 running 5.1 heel 2.5 mid 8350 39 mph track speed. cant go 6g in heel, the math doesnt work hence the 5.6. we both ended up with 5.6 heel, 2.5 mid to equal 64g havnt went out again. hard to find info on here hope this helps. p.s. you dont need to machine with the new rooster weight also be sure to weigh each weight and screw/washer before install, there very inconsistant.

I have brand new rooster weights and one of them was hitting the spider when it was running. Indy Dan also said it needed machining and hes the one that did it. Fyi

my bad. i spoke with team about this 2 weeks ago and they assured me that no machine work would be required. said if there is to send the weight(s) back for a replacement. ill say again to check your washers before install they are inconsistent.so before jumping the gun and machining try the warranty first fyi.

Silver screw=.8. fat washer=1.5. Skinny washer=.5. Thats a total of 2.8 in one side. Do the same in the other side and that = 5.6g

That's how I started out with mine, went progressively lighter to the tip for a total of 69 grms, no clearance issues with mine

Still putting it all back together, will be breaking it in at around 3000' 69grams is just the starting point.

was out again in the fernie area 6000-7000ft. slp blue/pink primary, black/purple sec. 13.1-1 pa head, specialty sleds can, 13 pro 800. 5.6 in heel 2.5 mid, empty toe. pulling 8200-8300. 41-43 mph track speed seen a peak of 45mph. around 2 ft of 2 day old snow. im very happy with how the sled is pulling now that ive got these weights close. buddy with the same sled slp blue/pink primary, stock secondary with ggb can, 2.5 camo track same weight set up is pulling 8050-8150, 38-40mph track speed. Seems to catch up to me climbing hills. also rode a 13 pro with a slp stage 3, carls clutching and that thing pulled hard. we never really raced the sleds. Thanks Rhodsie for setting us up with the weights. hope this info helps...

I just got a set. Going to try 9g in heel, 5.6g in mid, and 2g in the tip for 72.6g. Is this a good starting point? Rk tek drop in, SLP pipe, HPS can, PCV @ 960'.

Tomorrow I'll be putting my kit in with the 14.1 head and rooster weights and I'm in Minnesota at 1000 ft so I'm gonna run straight 110 octane av gas and set my weights at about 71 grams and see what happens I don't drive at home much mostly out west but I wanna test out the kit haha I'll post how it goes tomorrow night

I had 73.6 grams in and got 8350 so perfect maybe a hair more but runs awesome feel like there is maybe alittle more torque but at 1000 feet and 14.1 domes and 100+ octane it's hard to tell I'll know more when I head out west the 28th

I was told there's no reason to run the high octane gas... 91 is all you need unless you change domes. You guys might double check that with Kelsey before dropping a ton of gas

Removing bolts

How in the hell are you guys getting the weight bolts out of the cam arms??? I'm finding a 10mm socket and 3/8" socket too big and a 9mm and 5/16" socket too small and am rounding the corners off the bolt heads... What's the trick??? I want to put more weight in the heel.....
