Rk tek ordering problems

too busy to answer the phone or return voicemails? sorry but that is just plain poor customer service. no excuse. i would take my business elsewhere. what are you gonna do later when you have a problem and aren't riding for weeks because you can't get ahold of anyone? if you give someone a delivery date and can't deliver the LEAST you could do is call your customer and let them know. thats how a professional business is run! if you are so swamped you can't keep up you either stop taking orders or you hire more people.

Are you basing this off of the hearsay on this thread or are you speaking from direct experience in the last few weeks?

I don't wanna call anybody a liar but based on my experience with Kelsey over the years I find this very hard to believe. He's never once not returned my call or answered a PM even though I've probably asked some stupid questions.

fortunately It won't be as busy later into the season . P/S iv'e never had a problem reaching him, and he has responded to my questions and requests very quickly.

So why hasn't he come on and provided an update? He is usually so active on other threads about his products.

this isn't from personal experience this is a total hearsay comment. For all reading this do not put much thought into it. He does return phone calls as stated by basically everyone on here that actually deals with him, he takes orders but DOES NOT CHARGE THE CUSTOMER until it ships. how is that bad business? go find somebody else to bash that you actually have first hand experience with please

I don't get it.. he has always called me back or emailed me back same day, gave me the lead time for the drop in and it was a week early.. answered all my questions, even sent additional photos... nothing bad to say here!

I don't understand, Kelsey is always all over this forum. Especially when someone mentions the benefit of using a longrod motor to address the issues with the 800cfi. He just visited this thread 20 mins ago. A good business imo keeps there customers well informed. It jus makez you wonder how he would be if you were to have some issues with one of his products, is he going to play the mia card?

Called over there two days ago and he answered first ring himself... Dunno the whole story here but doesn't seem to hard to get a hold of. Also sent him a pm on here and heard back from him within 24 hours.

So... Just for chits and giggles... I called.... I just talked to him on the phone... picked up on the 4th ring.

I think that Kinzer nailed it.

He has taken orders... when he gets his pistons in, he will ship them out in the order received... He's knee deep in production for the season.

He asked me to post this up... so... consider this a follow up to the OP question.

I know where you are coming from...and that you want to get your Whip into shape for the season... so would I if I were in your shoes...

I sent RK tek my cyl head to get cut for the RK tek head 2 weeks ago and have called 3 times, left 2 voicemails to please call back with an update and so I can be assured that they'd at least received my head ok, I also wanted to give him my credit card info so he can charge me when its time. no response, I'm fairly frustrated too, I get that they are busy and parts are limited but a quick call to update and inform me would be great. guess I will try to PM him.

I stated a friend of mine had some issues with det and he wanted every detail and instructed me to get him to call him. So i doubt that he would play mia

I ordered a 2012 drop in kit at the beginning of Oct to Canada and was told he was super busy and it could be about 6 weeks before I see it.
I emailed him 4 seperate questions and he always got back to me within a couple of days.
Kit showed up in 3 weeks :thumb:.
I would not be at all concerned about customer service from Kelsey from what I've seen so far, I'm impressed.

Sorry others are having trouble getting a hold of him. Not my experience though.

after several calls and messages, I PM'd RKT on here, he got back to me quickly and said he'd be shipping end of next week in order of order rec'd
