RK TECK PISTON AN HEAD KIT

went up yesterday with rk techs new pistons and head kit for the 12 pro i installed the kit on my assault and for the first ride out it was very impressive. power is real smooth and consistent, i have 62 gram weights and and some other clutch mods and i am pulling 8350 running hard it really woke it up allot made a bigger difference than a slp pipe and power commander. i think the pro runs the best at 8300 imo. the mid range with this kit is killer in the trees you can really feel it shine just holds the rpms very well never drops at all even on the long pulls. very happy with the kit.

what elevation and what ratio is the head? IMO, i bet if you load the engine with some 64's or 66's, it will pull harder.

i live in his hometown and ride with him.
i had 64s in it and it pulled good but it ran harder with 62s and a different helix angle

RPM seems a little high without porting changes.

it says custom base gasket i wonder if thats how their getting some
of the port timming change

Maybe someone can chime in about the porting. Are the pistons longer?

I was un- aware of a problem with the pistons in these 11-12 800cfi motors. i know when the doo's came out they had issues but that was related to the rings or lack there of the 2nd one.
be interesting to see how these work out or the gains compared to a stage 3 slp or bikeman set up,
get a few more on the snow and run them against the others.

He isn't actually porting the motor. It is "poor man porting". By adding the shim it changes the port height in the cylinders. I think.

Doesn't make sense unless the pistons are longer and there is a thicker base gasket.

Thanks for the info it is very interesting, I will be waiting to find out what all of the details are and I also under stand mtntk is also producing a similar product like they do for the dragon 800's.

Anyone know what the claimed hp and torque gains are? I couldnt find it on the website.

imo, it sounds like money could be better spent on a power comander, and power addiction head.

Now if he comes out with a big bore kit, then it will be a very interesting build up!
