Riding Terrain and Snow - North Lake tahoe areas

Hey guys - I live down in Vegas and Ride in UT mainly with occasional trips to WY and ID. Never rode in the Tahoe area but have a friend with a house in Kings Beach. A few buddies and I are thinking about hauling some sleds up in December for some riding. My question is - is there good riding in this area (within 30-45min) and how are the snow conditions currently? I know you have a big storm on the way. Any recomendations on where to ride?

If you can point us to a general area, we can figure out the rest. Then again, if you can get us to the honey holes, we'll be sure to return the favor.

snow levels are really high right now. been raining at lake level all day, so not much snow up here. should cool down, but it's gonna be warm sunday when the last storm is on track.

At the top of kings beach is some good riding, blackwood on the west shore is even better. just need some cold air

Sonora pass on 395 will be a stuck fest after this storm bring your sleds
