Riding Pics 2009-02-22

Yup, that is what I thought about the polarizer. I had never used one on my cheapy camera and always had great luck. Regarding aperture, since I'm shooting a lot of deep field of vision pics I figured I needed to be at least at F8 or F11? I was shooting at ISO200 at 1/800. The camera is a Canon 50D and EF24-105 f/4L IS USM lens. I am thinking next time I will try ISO 400 or 640 and get the shutter speed up to 1/1000 without the polarizer.

They are great shots! try F6-F8 with that lens, ISO 400, and see what kind of shutter speed that gives you, if your shutter speed is way over 1/1000, and you want more depth of field, go to F10 or more, or bring the ISO back down to 200, you won't see much of a difference in the pics from ISO 200-800

See I'm loving posts like this. I've learned more in this 1 thread, as far as shotting the kind of pics we all love, than spending hours on some of the Photo forums.

Also gives me an idea of why my shots this weekend weren't what I was looking for.
