Got a new camera that cost 10x what my old one did and pics came out worse. Polarizers don't work so well at 11k feet. Lost 2-3 f-stops and pics are dull. I have to get alot better to use this camera and lens.

James had to go ruin the best drop of the day by stepping over the line and breaking a school bus sized chunk off. The good news is that it rolled backwards, he stayed behind it, and it didn't pile drive him. The bad news he did a full a$$ over tea kettle gainer, fell 30 feet, and landed on his head. Oh yeah, and his sled was still up top so he had to hitch a ride out lol.

You need to mess with the manual settings. For one your exposure was set to low.

You can use photoshop to brighten them up and edit them. PS has alot of cool options.

Looks like you had a great day.
 
Help me out! I was shooting shutter priority at 1/800 ISO 200. Apeture was 6.3 and above, most 8 or higher. I'm thinking the polarizer was too much at 11k feet? I did work them over in PS. They were much darker straight out of the camera.

Nope, I was just setting up for them to come off it. If it would have been 20 secs later I would have had 6.3 frames per second action lol. It's bigger than that pics makes it look. Pics always make chit look smaller I think. It was a big drop. James is lucky it rolled him backwards fo sure.

Yeah I agree pictures never do justice on the mountain :confused:
 
Good stuff Dookie! Way to use your head James:face-icon-small-blu This coming week is bad for me, but the following is wide open. Can you sneak out during the week?
 
I heard you had some motor issues Ike? James is talking about doing a 3 day trip somewhere different maybe head south. Hopefully follow a storm. This bowl we were in yesterday was nothing like it was last week when there was couple feet of fresh over the hood pow in it. Chitty snow sucks. Maybe head out west and meet up with Kim. How's the snow in the land of many wives?
