Riding in Alpine

I am looking for some info about riding in Alpine. Over the last several years, my buddies and I have been riding Togwotee. It is a great place to ride, but I am looking for a new destination. One thing we like about Tog is the vast riding area. Can the Alpine area keep us busy fior a weeks worth of riding? Also, what are some favorite lodging options?

Theres so many different areas that you can hit from Alpine. Not only in the Alpine area but also in Thayne and Afton. You could hit new areas up for weeks! Id recommend the Flying Saddle. Really nice hotel. Indoor pool and hot tub which is nice after a day of riding

there is way more technical backcountry riding in the Alpine area (Greys River Range) I ride the range probably 90% of the time and usually ride the same spots since snow conditions vary so frequently and there is so much area to ride.

Do you mean more technical as compared to Tog?

Alpine

We've been staying in Pinedale and driving out to the parking lot each day.

Brand new AmericInn and they gave us a snowmobilers discount last year.

The old hotel has very good steaks.

You can also drive over to Cora and ride back towards the Line Shack and Tog Lodge as well.

Nice place, but looking for something a little cheaper. One of the reasons I am looking around is that Tog is so damn expensive. We have to drive clear across the county to ride so looking at ways to trim costs.

Yea I've heard it's pricey I've been there to eat once and swim once its a nice hotel. There are plenty of other cheaper hotels. Like three rivers and bull moose think there's a few more not too sure cause I usually stay at our cabin. Make sure you lock everything up there were some break ins in the cabins and people's enclosed trailers last winter.
