I ride a cutler 950 and the instructions specifically call for varying the throttle to prevent lean burn down in the midrange. I have seen it happen in a modded m1000 as well as stock polaris. I ride like this and have for years. Keeps my pistons looking great and keeps me riding. Sorry if you don't like it, but I spent too much money to worry about whether it offends you. Also, when riding it keeps the track on the snow instead of constantly trenching. So when sidehilling I'm able to control the sled on steeper tighter terrain which equates to a higher fun factor. You should try it first. I recently taught a friend how to ride like this and it changed his ride experience.
