Revo's or Wranglers??

I've got my tire search narrowed down to 2, the Bridgestone Dueler Revo and the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor. The GY's are about $200 more for the set. I've ran Revo's before and had excellent results, all the salesman I've spoken with the last couple weeks have even said that the Revo is pretty much top of the line as far as snow/ice traction goes.

I've got a set of the silent armors on my 1 ton dodge, I've been impressed with the performance in slush, snow and mud this far. They also seem to hold the weight of the diesel better than the BFG's I've had in the past, with good tread wear. I can't comment on the Revo's, as I've never had a set.

What is the truck?

I had Revo's on a half-ton and they were awesome. I didn't get as good of wear as some tires, but the performance in the snow/ice was great. Good traction off-road and they were a quiet tire.

However, I won't be putting them on my 3/4 Duramax. Too heavy of a truck with too much torque for that soft of a tire. I think you you would regreat that tire on a heavy truck.

Sorry, it's an 07 Mega Cab diesel.

I had the Revo's on a F250 Crew cab, diesel, and got almost 60k on them.

I to have had the revos on both a 3/4 ton and 1 ton ford and gotten really good tire wear. You can not beat the revos on snow and ice. They are a great tire. I have not tried the new revo 2's yet but Im sure they are just as good as the original revos and cheaper.

each to his own but you f'ing crazy to spend that kind of $$ on tires. go to walmart and get uniroyal liberators lt's for $500 installed. awesome snow and mud tire at a good price.

Coming from a goodyear dealer. Id never run the Silent armors on any full size truck. Jeeps and dakotas and rangers sure. Big fan of the Toyos. Bridgestoned Revs are good too.

Siped revo's have been great tires on my work truck 1/2 ton Chevy, on my sled hauler (Dodge 2500) I run blizzaks they are absolutely the best snow tire built. :beer;

revo

If you can still get the old Revo do it. The new Revo 2 just came out about 3 months ago and dont know if they will do as well as the old Revo. The tread pattern has changed , it is opened up more.

I would get the new Revo 2's. My buddy has a set on his truck and loves them.

I will be putting some 22" Revo 2's on my new Z71 when I have to replace tires.

I have put a lot of tires on pickups over the years and have owned both. The revos are great tires but the silent armors are excellent. Worth every penny extra you pay. Went through more snow and flat out did better on ice while trailerring out west. I've owned BFG's, Dueller's and regular Goodyear's but all have fallen short of this amazing tire. Won't be disappointed.

I'm hearing rave reviews about the Hankook Dynapro AT-M RF-10's. Have a set of Bridgestone Dueler Revos on my Duramax right now and I'm not sure what I think about them. Wouldn't be scared to go back to BFG AT's either.

I've ran both the Revo's and the new Wranglers on my 3/4 ton Duramax Chevy. Twice on both tires might I add. I have since switched to the new Michelin LTX A/T2. I'm on my second set of these now. The new Michelin's are by far and away a smoother, more quiet ride on pavement and a better snow tire than the Revo and Wranglers I've ran in the past. Well worth the $$$ IMO. If I had to choose between the Revo and Wrangler I'd go with the Revo's.

I would not count out the Hankook DynoPro AFM RF-10s. I think they are a better tire than the Revo's. The hankooks in a 285 weigh 69 lbs where as the Revos weigh a measly 51 lbs. They are awesome tires in the rain and snow and are supposed to wear excellent. I have 15,000 km on my set and there is little if any wear. I went from a BFG A/T 315's to the RF-10 285 in 10 ply. I always did pretty good with my A/Ts for mileage. Hankook will be giving BF a real run for the money. A equal if not better tire for less money.

Wrangler Duratracs

So I took the leap and am running these(wrangler duratracs) studded up. They seem to be good thus far but only time will tell they have a good tread pattern and ride good and are relativley quiet? I liked the stud-ability of the tire? maybe this will help I believe the tire is new as of Febuary 09?

I went that route.... ONCE!!! No thanks.

Both Firestone stores I went to suggested I stay with the original Revo saying the Revo 2 doesn't get ice traction as good.
