Reverse beeper/alarm

anyone know how or if a reverse beeper/alarm can be installed on a new polaris assault? I went for a weekend trip and both myself and another polaris rider had a ugly incident with the reverse mechanism on our sleds. luckily nobody was seriously hurt. wondering if the beeper can be installed on a polaris.

The beeper just means the GARBAGE truck is backing up.

Really? never could imagine having a problem with a sled not having a backup beeper

Glasses?

The flashing light on the dash tells all.

How does that work when it's covered with snow!!! Not so well.
Kind of agree on the beeper. Hated it on the ski-doos at first but it is actually a lot safer. Haven't had any big fails but a few surprises..... kiss the hood style??

surprised by smart *** remarks

some of you people need to grow up. if you don't have a worthwhile comment to make why don't you just move on to the next thread. Beeper is a huge safety concern on all sleds, the other three manufacturers have them, why not polaris. I'm sure the five dollars it costs wont break their bank. I know of several people driving polaris snowmobiles who wish their sleds have a beeper. I'm so sorry to all you cool sledders who think a beeper is not cool. I am 100 percent positive at some point most of the naysayers on the forum will have a incident concerning the reverse alarm and it may change your mind. especially if you back into someone elses sled or even worse someone gets hurt.

Are you feeling especially emotionally distraught?
Its that time of the month isn't it?

You don't have to defend your beloved ski-doo's ****ing beeper.........
Do you need someone to hold your hand too?
Who needs to grow up?

Ohhhh cry me a river.... How the f*** do you get that side tracked going from reverse to forward!! It takes like two seconds.

Since the Reverse indicator light on the MFD is part of a decoded can-bus signal... there is no real way to break this signal out short of surgery on the MFD and installing a SS-Relay off the light signal.

I've never been in a situation where my dash has been covered in snow and had to put it in reverse and having it be an issue of safety. If my dash is covered in snow and I put it in reverse chances are no one is behind me and I'm for sure going to burry it.

Wow some of you guys are awesome, heck I bet you drive without headlights or brake lights! In fact your so awesome I'm sure you probably don't use reverse so of course you wouldn't have a problem...

I've had plenty of times shifting from one to the other when it didn't either go into reverse or come out, even when the engines dies and then comes back up. Got off to yank on a ski and got back on and forgot it was in reverse, if not for the beeper might have looked like a silly Poo rider and been riding my hood;)

I sorry but if my sled had a reverse beeper on it I would have to disconnect it, its just annoying, you're backing a sled up not a garbage truck!

Why do i get the feeling that you ride with the kind of guys that like to hit your reverse button when they pull up next to you and your not looking :face-icon-small-win

Did your buddy turn the reverse on you without you knowing? Are you the tool that went over the bars on the facebook vid?
