hopefully this gets sorted out soon, Im sure im not the only one who already has some rooms booked for the season... hopefully someone can get to the bottom of this and figure out if there will still be a sledder rate. Did Zala'a sell too?
OK....so I will let you all know what I do as of today. At 12:00 noon, the hotel will transfer ownership. The new owners are a Korean family from Calgary. The staff that is remaining today will either be re-hired or not. I cannot imagine a complete turnover, but I don't know that for sure. When I found this out two weeks ago, the new owners were initially very eager to re-hire me... but....under circumstances that were not acceptable to me. I spent 3 years at the property and I could not continue this year knowing that I couldn't stand behind my product or services, or that I would be unable to offer the same standards to you. It is a mutual decision, and I feel good walking away with some pride in sharing my vision with all of you. It is not personal, in any way. I know that it is a second home to a lot of you during the winter, and some of you are damn near family ( no...you still CANNOT stay at my house..lol) Zalas will remain as is....no change. It is a seperate entity from the hotel. I do have one request from y'all......Please let the girls at the desk go through this transition in the next few weeks peacefully. It will be a lot of extra work for them, please dont flood them with phone calls right now. They work hard for you guys.....Have a great winter, and keep the hotel what you made it into......(or pool up..buy it......and give me back my job.....lol) Have a great season!! I'm sure I will bump (ahem..stumble) into a few of you over the winter.

We are really sorry to see you go Kerry, I was in town yesterday and stopped by to say Hi and was informed of your departure. That sucks, but hopefully you stay in town and we can have a few shots this winter. As for the bookings i have, they wont publish a rate on the sheet they printed out for me, and the ladies were not sure what the rate would be. We just need to list on the stock market and sell shares in a new hotel venture and get Kerry to run it !!!!!!!!!!! Call it Home away from Home, build it to fit the rigs we all own.

Hmmmmmm......interesting. I have a vision.....lol. Hotel/Hooters/heated garage spaces/outdoor gazebos with BIG bbq's/free in room ****/hot tubs that never close/and specialty suites to suit ALL needs...heeheehee
