replacing tunnel

I got a CR tunnel as well. It fits nice and he makes it a breeze to put in having all the aligning holes for you. They treat me good at CR and always have because of that i have no reason to shop else where.

Kind of curious on why guys are spending the 2-3 grand on a tunnel on the new sleds. It made sense with the RX1 because the dovetail was an abortion, the apex to remove the floorboard coolers and get something that doesnt hold ice and snow, and the origional Nytro tunnel as the low boards left mountain riders as an afterthought but is anyone swapping out the 2010-2012 tunnels? Is there a large weight advantage? I know that some of the guys are using heavier gauge aluminum now but given the right endo any of them can fail. It just seems like some Skinz boards or snow eliminators and lighweight drop brackets would accomplish the same thing at less than half the cost. I guess I may be forgetting about the "Bling" factor but is there more to the story?

boosted I kinda feel the same way. I am putting air frames on my newer style tunnel and I think it will be fine after that. Unto each his own though.

I went with a CR tunnel for a few different reasons. First to get rid of the crap running boards on the Apex. Second to get the powder coated tunnel, so it's nice and perty. And third to close up all the holes on the existing tunnel from the stock seat and exhaust, when I went with aftermarket undertunnel exhaust and the MUCH shorter airframe seat.

Your arrogance is astonishing. To the original poster, I put a CR tunnel on and couldn't be happier. Fit and finish is excellent and Chad was the only one out 5 or 6 different shops I called that would actually return a phone call. Ted, I did not call you. I did a few years ago and listened to you trash Brent Linderman for 1/2 an hour. Knew at that point you were nuts.
Cr got the best products exelent service,Chad has made lotts of custom parts for me.Chad knows how to treat a customer. There are no other opiones than CR. And B.L is one of the best,if not the best 2stroke tuner out there.

Just modify your stock one save the cash
Rat sled boards or cut down the back
Block the exhaust hole
powder coat it.

if you have the cash the new carbon fiber tube frame tunnel CR offers is awesome ! i had the chance to put one on my sled last season . I know there's a few other guys with it but not many . one big bonus is its 4 parts so when you crash you can fix parts of it if you have to . every one drooled over how little snow collected on my running boards last winter

I'm scared to ask, but what's that worth?
