Remember tie the 4 wheeler down

Don’t feel bad, my last truck that I owned for 2 years was on rear window #3 when I sold it. To my defense they weren’t all my fault: 1) Put the dirt bike in crooked so I could still shut the tailgate, strap had a nasty cut in it that I didn’t notice and it let go sending the handle bar through the rear window. 2) Empty propane tank that originally was strapped in the back with a tie down, tie down must not have been tight enough because it came off. Lady pulled out in front of me and I had to lock them up doing about 35.....tank started rolling towards the front of the box and hit an old tire that was in the box sending the tank air born and through my window. 3) Bought an old steel desk from an auction to put in the shop, the thing had great sliders on the drawers. Got on the brakes pretty hard again and the 35 lb drawer flew open and into my window….the small surface area on the drawer pull worked great for popping out my back window.

PS - $250 sounds cheap!

I would have loved to watch that one....:beer;:D

Dont feel bad it is VERY COMMON.

I run a bodyshop and have fixed this same type of accident many times and have witnessed it happening once.

A guy drove down to Nebraska from MN to buy a 4 wheeler I had and he over throttled it loading and hit the back of cab hard enough to throw him over the bars and face plant the high mount stop lamp.. I was like "Whoa dude are you ok?" He embarassed yeah yeah its ok. He spent just a few minutes more there than got the he11 outta there.

it scared the CHIT out of me.....I thought for sure I was getting rear ended when I heard the glass shatter and started to brace for impact......and then nothing happened. I was like WTF and looked in my back seat and there was my f*cking propane tank!

glad no one was in the backseat and got hurt but dam, the mental picture is cracking me up thinking about the propane tank flying through the backwindow and playing pinball inside your truck:eek:
