Reliability of the Pro motor

It depends on where you ride! 30 degrees and 2 plus feet of wet heavy snow is harder than the mountains on a sled. In general I would agree with you.

2012 pro rmk lost the top end at 2400, lost the whole thing at 2700 miles.
rolling chasis will be for sale, I went and bought a doo. sick of the issues.

2012 Pro RMK 800, 1400 miles. No problems so far. Tested compression last month, 660 feet altitude, cold, 135 on my gauge. Turned the oiler up within the first 100 miles, and ran oil in the gas that first winter. It has had maybe 4-5 tanks of 91 octane no ethanol run through it, otherwise it has been 87 octane with 10% ethanol. Hope it makes it through this winter.

I used to worry about the reliability, but after talking to many rental fleet owners at various lodges those concerns were gone. If rentals can rack up 3000-3500 miles being riding like a rental, then I have no worries.

Tore down my 2012 pro with 2500 miles on it. I had noticed a little lack of power. and i found 2 bad pistons and 1 cracked sylinderskirt. New cylinder and pistons on warranty. But i put in rktek dropin instead of the oem`s. Very happy with the results :)

I have a 2012 rmk with 3200 miles on it. Removed the exhaust valves and inspect the pistons and rings. Pistons show no skirt wear at all and rings are not chipping. Still runs strong. Most of the miles are mountain miles
