Ok, here goes. Have a place in Idaho and also Washington and resident of WA. Bought sleds and registered in Idaho. Going to be riding there a lot and selling WA house in the spring and moving anyway. Had WA people come ride in Idaho in the past and they would just buy stickers there that were good for a year so figured I could do that here.
Went to licensing place and she said there is no option like that. She couldn't even sell parking pad without the tabs so have to go to Big 5 I guess. After 15 days you must transfer titles here but I don't want to do that for reasons above plus I will be going down there often. She said if stopped just say you have been here, WA, less than 15 days. Is there no stickers like others states where you just buy and good to go with no worries? Long story, sorry.

This is what I found on snowmobilers.org:

Washington

There are 3,500 miles of groomed trails in Washington. Trail permits are not required for out of state snowmobilers, however, a Sno-Park Permit may be needed to park in specific locations. Sno Park permits may be obtained by calling 360-902-8552. Helmets are not required. Roads, road shoulders and ditches are not open to snowmobiles. No person under age 12 shall operate a snowmobile. Persons between 12-16 must pass Snowmobile Safety Course to operate on any public road or highway. Registration Fee: $32 a year.

However on Washington State Legislature:

WAC 308-94-080
No agency filings affecting this section since 2003
Nonresident temporary snowmobile permit.

What information is required to obtain a nonresident temporary snowmobile permit?
(1) An application for a nonresident temporary permit shall include:
(a) Name and address of the applicant;
(b) Plate or registration number and expiration date, if registered in another jurisdiction;
(c) Make, vehicle identification number, model year, and method of propulsion of the snowmobile; and
(2) Applicable fees.

I think the resident license is about $33. I cannot find anything that clearly states the price of a non-resident but I believe it to be the same.

So what the snowmobiler.org site and that second part don't agree with each other and the lady today said one didn't exist. I also wonder because I am a WA resident but need an out if state permit. I will call the state and find out where I get that application and who do I submit it to. Maybe I'll let whatever cop I meet try and figure it out lol.
Thanks for the info.

Yes I think you're right. I'm not sure there is a difference between a resident and non-resident in Washington. The only issue I see is that if you register it in WA and bought it somewhere else you will have to pay sales tax.
