Reed Valves

As some of you know I lost the motor in my 05 RMK due to ingestion of a screw foriegn to the sled. When the said screw went through the Reed Valve cage it damaged a couple reeds. As well as when the piston came apart the many little piston parts finished it off.

So, my question is what should I put back in there?? What have you guys/gales found to work good or bad.

Same here stock is what have heard best. VForce from what I have read break within 500-1000 miles. But the down side is was searching polaris parts and only way is to get whole reed cage instead of replacement reeds as with VForce3's you get the reed cage and then can get replacement reeds afterwards.

Anyone know a part# for just replacement stock '06 reeds?

Not sure but Boyesen makes a great petal replacement kit. V force seems like alot of hype, imo

Lost my motor also this last week to a screw except it came from the reed cage itself.:face-icon-small-dis Thanks for the post I was about to by V-Force now I will just wait the week and get stock.

So, does the Boyesen bolt right up to the stock cage?? $240 for stock compared to 40 for Boyesen Pedals

boyesen reed part number

anyone have the boyesen reed part number, I'm having a hard time forking out $250 when all I need is the petals.

Especially when I have to pay 5 cents at the grocery store for a plastic bag because we're supposed to be saving the plastic trees.!!!!!

I have first hand seen v-force reeds fail early in all the newer Polaris CFi's bit mayb I am lucky but I have a 06 900 rmk dragon 166 with 4500 miles on the v-force Reed valves that where installed from pretty well brand new with NO pedal failures ever. I also got a 06 600 fusion dragon with 7600 miles on v-forces and they are just starting to fray at the edges. I hope this helps.

you can get the boyseen reed pedals on ebay all day...arounr $75 for the SET..nevber used them personally, but cheaper then the link above...

or you can get a set of take off OEM reeds on ebay or elsewhere from a newer dragon that was parted out. i snagged a used set on ebay for $35 that had 200 miles on them.
