recovery rope/gear

Pick up a spool of dyneema rope. I use it on the wakeboard winches I sell. It's rated for 1800#s, is a little smaller than 1/4", and comes in just about any color u want. I think I pick t up in 1000' spools for right around $200.

consider adding a small plastic roll up sled to your kit - there are ones built specifically to attach to a track. They weigh practically nothing. We used one last year and man did it make a difference on pulling resistance!

Not to take anything away from the pre-made ones but in a pinch or for those wanting to be thrifty, for about $5, you can get the thin HDPE roll up kids sleds that will serve the same function. You will need to cut / drill a few holes along the edge to secure it to the track but is an option to be aware of. They are typically available nearly anywhere and have many other uses also. Most who have spent much time outdoors have learned to make do with whatever is on hand in any given situation. There is some remanant red neck in all of us which is not neccassary a bad thing when creativity is needed.

Yep LH, agree with you about the kids sleds. Have one of those hanging on trailer wall, don 't carry it, but can get it if we need it. Had a tpex lose a drive shaft bearing, came in very handy.

Yes Sir! I've even used a blue tarp for a skid/sled before. Sure beat trying to drag one with a track that wouldn't roll. Actually broke both rails on that sled so not alot of options there.

The other one we do often on a long tow is to pull the skis off and put them back on backwards. then lift the *** end of the dead sled on to the tail end of the sled that will be towing it out and tie it down good and tight. Makes towing one out much much easier cross country in the mountians.
