recalls out 08 d8

My understanding of the jumper wire is that it is about 5% leaner above 6000 rpm with the jumper plugged in, so if you are NOT burning Oxygenated fuel you should have it jumpered however if you are burning it you should have it unplugged. I am wondering how the 09's come from the factory? I am sure you guys have talked about it but I missed it.

where are these wires , what color and where do you jumper them at???

Wires

They are located at the harness that is next to the back of the ECU you don't have to take the cover off to find them, there is a couple of ports for the Digital wrench I would think and the harness is just kind of stuffed in under the plastic that is in front of your left knee if your on the sled. if you pull that out so you can look at it you will find 3 wires and I will look in the morning but I believe it is the pink and black that go together not the yellow. Don't quote me on this till I check, I will try to post a picture. I don't think it does anything on the 08 without the reflash but I am not sure of that either :confused:

Pics of Jumper wires

Here are the pictures, I hope this helps. I have a different ECU in mine so I am not sure if it works with the old one or not. I will try to find out.

sorry guys if i made you think the recall was out..thats not what i ment. but inside info tells me it`s in the works. i think it only is for the d8`s that had problems. (like mine) all i ment was keep in loop with your dealer.

ITS OUT!! my dealer told me yesterday. they ordered the recall kit. not sure when they will get it but sounds like after its all done i`ll have a $hit eating grin!!sorry i never got the part # but your dealer should have no prob getting it now.:beer;:beer;

Recalls are for safety related issues like cracking fuel tanks, idler arms coming apart and other things that could cause loss of control of the vehicle or if the sled could put your storage facility at risk. TSB's are for issues like the pistons and oil pumps. There is a big difference - thought I should point that out for youse guys.

^^Exactly my thoughts, and it is misinformation/wrong titles that put a bad name on any brand.

i heard something about this about 2 months ago i was just waiting to hear so i coud do my mods on the new top end . anybody in the usa heard anything?

i checked my 08 700 dragon and the wire were not hooked together the black/blue wire for all i know was grounding out because it was just hangin out in there not taped up or nothing but the pink wire and the other wire are fine with rubber ends on them. so what does that mean that its not pluged in??? am i running even richer or lean:confused:

two map ECUs are only 09. Some dealers should chime in about the March 08 or thes Fall's version of a reflash for non-ethanol premium usage.

Okay, so the POO dealers in Canada announce a recall. Does that also go for US dealers? Should my dealer call your dealer?:confused: So, the bottom line is new top end and reflash? It's been a couple of days since your dealer's announcement. Any more details? Us sledders have to help each other out, because Polaris, IMHO, is only going to do just enough to get by.:(

updates

My dealer said he ordered the "updates" but does not know what it will all be, I have one of the sleds that went down because of the problem and never ran good again after rebuild so I really hope they have it figured out

Karnege

Could we all have some more concrete evidence of the recall details please. I live in BC as well and my dealer knows nothing about your claimed recall on associated topend parts. Thanks.
