Rear Superclamp question??

Hey guys and gals i have a questions about putting superclamps on the rear of the sled trailer(karavan treated wood).I mounted the eye through the wood and when i fasten the clamp the wood seems to flex a fair bit..i dont think its enough to rip the bolt through though....but i was wondering if anyone else has braced it up underneath for extra support with a 2+4 etc??

I put mine through where I had a steel cross brace. Mine does not flex at all.

I did put a section of 2x4 under my plywood. No crossmembers were in the area. Took a lot of the flex out and stronger attachment

HOw long of a piece of wood did ya use....thanks

Either that, or use a piece of steel plate, 3"x3"x.25 with the proper size hole in the middle. Works like a washer.

That's what I used for my front clamps. Worked really well.
