Rear Fuel & Storage Bag combo/Matryx Slash

I'm thinking of trying aftermarket bumper to reinforce the tunnel, Kimpex mount to the far rear for maybe a 3 1/2 gallon Rotopax fuel can,, Kimpex stack kit and set a Kimpex bag on top and then leave that space behind the seat clear.

21.25 inches width Rotopax 3 1/5 gallon.
-16.5 inches tunnel width (at the lower bumper bars.) from Cortez measurements on his
=4.75 Inches total overhang
/2
=2.375 Inch overhang on each side.

Total cost approx $539.44 before shipping and any tax and the bumper reinforcement.

Alternative rear bag/gas setup Kimpex
Bracket$ 74.99
Gas tank Holder$ 66.52
Stacking Kit 2 for accessory 402122$ 87.99
Stacking Kit 1 for Gas can 402120$ 27.99
Kimpex Connect Adventure Tunnel Bag 8L to 22L$ 219.99
Fuelpax by rotopax 1.5 gal fuel$ 59.9914.2 x 13.8 x 3.6 inchesAmazon
Fuelpax by Rotopax 2.5 gal fuel$ 79.9920 x 15 x 4 inchesAmazon
RotopaX FX-3.5 FuelpaX 3-1/2 Gallon$ 89.9521-1/4" x 14" x 4-1/2 inchesAmazon

The mountain addiction 3.3 gallon can has zero overhang.

In case you couldn’t see it in the picture above.

Seems like if you are “upgrading to the matryx” you would want to keep the features that make it worth upgrading?

(Narrow seat and tunnel)
(no snow buildup at rear of running boards for a surefooted ride)

Still would have the shorter tunnel and cooler. Keep the immediate area behind the seat to swing my big azz size 13 clod hoppers around without getting snagged up. And lower risk of bending that tunnel if I hit something. Being able to stack gear on that very back of a 850 165 boost just seems more practical. Going to need fuel and regular kit along for the ride.

I have a hard case right behind seat, bolt to tunnel. Then mountain addiction 3.3g after that, no problem. Gas can is only there mabe 30 minutes, so I don't care thats its right at the back.

Same.

Tool kit there all day fuel is dumped in very soon.

As far as the extra wide rotopax or brp linq setup……..Spending extra money to compromise the sled seems counterintuitive?

Mountain addiction can and universal rails, Polaris matryx rmk essentials bag that fits the tank perfectly.

Done.

I'm going to try and move my small burandt bag to the rear and mtn addiction 3.3 up to the front. The 155 slash tunnel doesn't leave a guy much room to work. And I hate how a full 3.3 feels on the tail from my experience on the axys sleds. Makes the sled bottom do hard on big whoops onthe trail and wheelies a ton if u don't ditch it right away.

Rode 1 day so far without spare fuel and got towed home. 36 miles and the boost was dry? hopefully she'll settle down a tiny bit once thru break in but power takes gas to make. So guess I'll pack more?

It seems to be less squirrelly on the matryx than it was on the axys.

Plus the fuel dumps in after 7-8 miles usually.

36 miles out of a full tank on a boost?! Really?!

Has anyone found a solution to the vibration sound from the tunnel? I thought mounting a tunnel bag would help, but the noise is still there.

I would start a different thread on this. Is this on your boost? NA? I have an NA and am getting tunnel vibration at times.

Perfect fuel slaying conditions. First tank so it's in the rich part of breaking running the non premium ethanol mode which is a tiny bit richer. And then this was 4 miles of trail to judt nonstop nasty tree lines (1k + of vert per line). The boys on the doo turbos were very similar fuel usage same day. Every burnt a lot of gas real fast.

Not a bozeman ride with 15 miles of trail each way and then crusty snow a 600 could walk up.

Best way to get better fuel economy is to stick to the trails.. did you really buy a nearly 200hp turbo sled hoping for good fuel economy?! [emoji1787]

The question mark in that sentence meant I was asking a question...I was hoping or assuming he meant in the deep. GPS distance or ODO reading. Didn't know. Maybe I should just stick my thumb up for an Uber instead of planning.

Made this guy today. It will utilize Mountain Addiction rails and had slots for the Polaris lock n ride bag to attach. It’s also looking like to the rear factory holes for the bag will work! Liking the 3.3 gallon can as these sleds are THIRSTY haha

Ingenious way to haul extra weight.

Why not attach the mountain addiction rails directly to the tunnel again? ?
