Real weight of the '09 M8 and M1000?

My 2009 M8 153 SP weighed 468 lbs with the gas drained, the 1/2 liter of oil that it came with still in it and the boss seat on. Without the boss seat, that would be about 477 so it lines up with their claim. My 2007 M8 153 (not a sno pro) weighed the same way on the same scale was 500 lbs.
My 1985 Phazer was claimed to weigh 400. These new sleds are longer, Bigger, meaner, and alot of other things. Only 70 to 80 lbs more? I always thought they were lying.
I have one stock one left, M1000 162 SP I can throw back on scale and take a pic if you want, it is just sitting there out of the crate.
Our Pro-Lite M8 ended up 424 DRY with stock exhaust
The Pro-Lite M1200 ended up at 433 DRY

The cost of all that weight loss would make my eyes bug out more than when I saw those weights.
I thought it was funny at the snow in Boise the Arctic Cat booth had an M8 on the scales.. If you lifted up on the sled the weight would drop but if you applied pressure it would not go past 455...

My little 7 weighed 455,
With the stock pipe and HPS can, since I put on Jaws twins and probably lost another couple. I want a boss seat and I will be gutting the hood. John
