Re valving the shocks

I want to know who has or looking to re-valve their shocks. I have the clicker shocks but feel as though they are a little stiff and could be improved. Does anyone have a suggestion on who to use or to do it at all? Looking forward to the responses. I'm running the 163 2.6 and weigh in at 210. Not a big jumper 10' drops are good for me but I am aggressive in the trees.

I have always had Carls re-valve the stock shocks for me, and have been very happy with how they work. I have not had any experience with re-valving the clickers though.

Shock Revalving

We have a great shock revalve option for the sleds if you are interested in them. We could get you all set up with a new set of custom shocks if you want to send them in and have us rework them!

Tom's Snowmobile has been doing mine for the past few years and has updated them with FOX internals. He does a great job, is very reasonably priced, and is a great guy to work with.

Thanks

Thanks for the replies. What characteristics does each re-valve change or add? Been on some sleds that just feel stiff been on there that are butter smooth to roll up and suck up the bumps like a dream.
Carl's and Tom please chime in if you would. Also what is your turn around time right now? I know you can get different characteristics from different valving. I want to know if it is worth it.

You need to ride your sled and determine what characteristics you would like to change in your shocks then let whoever is re-valving your shock know what you want changed. Suspension valving is not a one size fits all thing. I know with Tom's you will fill out a form that gives him the details like your weight, riding style and anything you want changed. His turnaround time is typically between 2 days and a week depending how busy he is.

Are you positive that the shocks are to firm for your liking? These sleds are often under sprung and valved. With the weight you've provided you are likely outside the design parameters. it could very well be you are blowing through the stroke and bottoming which is causing the harsh ride.

For the NON-clicker shocks... I'd like to see somone run the AXYS pro with the TRS valving for the ProRide-Mtn sleds... I'll bet it would work pretty well...

One of the issues with the WE shocks is cheap-o mineral oil they use.... With the factory valving... it seems to be scorching the oil quickly for some riders...
Many factory shocks need the oil serviced after less than 1000 miles.

Carl's is on top of it for Valving... I believe they basically turn the shock into a FOX shock, which they have a better understanding of and specialize in... leave the body and change the piston/valving for FOX internal components.

Also.. Upgrade of springs is a good idea...

Z-Broz has a dual-rate set available and Raptor has a great set of progressive springs for this too. Better springs can make a big difference...especially in initial shock movement and compliance...

I got the dual rate front shock springs AND stiffer rear skid springs for the basic WE shocks on my AXYS from ZBROZ and it's awesome. Excellent product and well worth the money if budget is on your mine. It was around $350 for everything
