Have not seen a post for this area and we rode Forester today - Sweet conditions 4 feet easy with pockets deeper. Made it to the Headwall prior to first climb onto the lake. To socked in to go up in the open areas.

Still a blast in the trees and meadows. Tuesday will be an awesome day as suppose to be Sunny.

Wow, did we ever it's deep!

There is a ton of snow in the meadows, the crazy winds last week loaded them. Creeks are still pretty nasty, saw a few holes where sleds went swimming.

Did not go to the lake, had the kids with me. I think most of the snow from up there is probably now in the meadows.

The trail in is getting roughed up, hopefully the groomer will be out soon.

Forester

Did anyone go up Forester on the weekend? Just wondering what the conditions are like and how much snow there is. We were going to go up Saturday but decided to go to Silent Pass instead. I did hear the roads were icy as hell, some firends were hunting up the horse theif and forester area on the weekend.

You may not even get a four place up to the main parking lot on Forster FSR without chains. The road was really icy Nov 22.

There is snow/ice all the way down the trail to the parking lot.

Dog leg lake parking lot is the usual parking spot for big trailers but there is not enough snow to use it yet.

Thanks pd . I usually park at the texas gate on the forester road. Can a guy make it up to that gate with a trailer ?

Should be able to, There was an 4 place enclosed there on the 22nd.

The long hill on the Horsethief FSR just before the Forster FSR is nasty.

I would bring chains just in case, it's been warm and rainy at lower elevations.

Forester update

I went riding up Forester on Saturday Dec. 12 with a bunch of friends, not a whole lot of snow up there right now. No new snow, it was pretty packed down. Even up thunderwater and wirlpool there is nothing much for snow. However we dropped into the back door there was a least 3 feet of untouched powder. It turned out to be a pretty good day.

Has anyone been up to Forester the last couple of days? A couple of us were thinking up going on Sunday and wondering if there's been any new snow, thanks Will

was in yesterday, friggin trail was the worst I have ever ridden!

whooped out from staging area to the cabin! I think(hope) I saw the groomer operator heading to the trail yesterday.

need more snow! it's pounded out bad.
