Radium Area Riding

Rode Forester yesterday. We managed to get to the area at the end of Thunder Water above the small lake in the back end. No problem climbing the first hill off the meadows 3 feet of snow at the meadows.. The visibility $ucked, but we managed to put in a few climbs.

There are wind blow pockets around the big lake and we probed to the end of an 8 foot probe above the small lake in the back end. No chitting, and it was not a wind blown pocket. It was awesome climbing there, but we got socked in and left.

The trail is not bad either and the groomer is parked and waiting.

So you had no problem climbin up into thunderwater???? were most of the creeks snowed in yet. I was there a month ago and there was 90 cm in the meadows but havnt been back since because most of the creeks were still open. call me if you dont mind Dan 250-270-0384.

i was with them on that trip. yes some creeks are still open kinda. just go across in some spots and had a clear shot across in others.
for the big climb into thunderwater... well it was fully snowed in, just gets really steep. the one center chute was a good pull on the turbo, almost didnt make it.

I was riding my XRS 800 with 151 and pulled the hill no problem. Can't compete with that turbo power. Managed to get in a little trouble in some rocks and trees, but you can avoid those things if you want. We were trying some later season stuff.

How's the riding been Lately? Have you been getting any good storms? We got a few down south that brought us 2-3 feet in the hills.
