EngineTech M9 bb pistons?

I have a M7 with EngineTech big bore 900 kit. I need a set of pistons to get it back on the snow, and a set of spares. They want $250 each. Well I'm not cheap, but can't put down $1k at this time. Anyone know if any other pistons would work in this engine?

I'm pretty sure they're a proprietary POS $50 siezeco piston (that YOU need to mill a bit before you install!!!) that they're screwing you for an extra $200 on. Shoot 73goliath a PM on here, he's done quite bit of work on this motor. I don't believe siezeco will sell you that piston directly though.

they should be the ceramic dome and coated skirts from engine tech for that 900 bigbore...great piston...but not for 250 each because im certain engine tech just use the standard cast piston and get the other guys to treat it or get them from spi...one fella who might be able to get ya some details are Ted from Terra-Alps racing...or spi...or swain tecnologies...but i have the 900 as well and i got it from Terra -Alps and i know it and engine tech are clones so to speak and Ted had my pistons done by an outfit in Canada which is similar to swain i guess...all i knw is that the dome is ceramic treated and the rest of the piston is coated...and that my engine is FLAWLESS..!!!

How much did you pay Terra-Alps for the pistons?

call fastrax they have the pistons for the ubr kits in stock last i checked also kurt is great to deal with
they are made by weisco i think i payed 200.00 ea or so but i have yet to sieze a piston i have over 1200 miles on the last set

you may have to clearence them for the racetech kit

it was all one price for the whole bigbore kit so i don;t know what the pistons were..but 2150.oo total for the 900 bigbore kit complete..so who knows...but i thought they were a cat piston treated

Thanks for the reply. I called Fastrax, the guy I talked with was Jason(I think) He said his were 219.00. Didn't know if it would work in EngineTech kit. Depending on ports and ring locater pin location.
