race gas

Casey, You still coming out this weekend??

I've got about $13.75 burning a hole in my pocket, I'll take all the race gas you've got (13.75 worth or so anyhow:D!)

I believe that there is some available where I am staying here in Utah, If you want some, PM me and I'll bring it back and you can meet me in Kremmling and pay me for it, but it has to be a for sure thing.

Called around and got prices from $11.69 to $7.22 a gallon for 111oct. The cheapest I have found so far was Duggan's.

I checked with the old Weston store in Stb. this summer and 110 race gas for my Late Model was $10.00 a gallon, I run 91 octane with booster instead.

Just go off the phone with Chief Petroleum in CO Springs and their current price on Track Tek TT111 is $5.95/gal and a $40 Drum fee if you don't have one.

SORRY GUYS, Bad call, I called him back again and turns out it's $399 a drum not $3.99/gal so not a good deal.

Annnd then I called my Guy in TX, Track Tek T111 from him is $3.99 / Gal and roughly $40 for drum charge but he will be verifying that price and getting back to me.

If I get it from him I will be able to haul back 4 drums total and I need at least one of them for myself. I am planning on only makeing 1 trip back to CO with the truck before winter so I won't be able to get more than the 4 drums from him at this time.

*EDIT* He just called me back and said he's got some drums that are getting towards the end of their life cycle and that he would provide these drums with no charge. So $3.99/ Gal and free drums. Total of $215.46 per drum, that's 54 Gallons as he only charges for 54 since that's about all that actually fits in the Drum without running into venting problems.

Refinery is in Houston so yeah much closer, plus these guys sell only race fuels and oils and drag racing especially is HUGE down there, so they move a huge volume. Last year their price was pretty good but this years price damn near made me drop the phone.

Anyway at that price we could make a special trip for about 12 or so drums with the trailer and split the gas bill for the truck and everyone would still save a buck a gallon.

Only problem is my truck and trailer couldn't handle that kind of weight :(

I have a F-350 long box 7.3L turbo diesel im sure I could stock that sucker full of drums, dallas is three hours from where Im stationed here in Southwest Oklahoma!!! Much closer than you guys!!!

Yeah, I work in Cleburne, TX (south end of DFW) during the winter but normally only make one trip back with the truck before Christmas and after that I fly until we move north again in the spring.

But if your making a trip for some I'm sure you could find a few peeps to throw in with ya on the deal.

well You must be very good friends with these guys cuz I just called to see if I could come down and snag a drum and they wouldn't go any lower than $400 a drum.

hmmm, WTF, that's weird, I'll give them a call again and see what's up, I'm not friends with them I just bought a pile of stuff off them last year. Wonder if he mis-spoke when he said $3.99 a gallon and meant to say $399 a drum when I talked to him and I know I heard him clearly so maybe a mistake on that.

Alright, just got off the phone with him again and this time I said specificly by the drum and he replied $399 so he must have mis spoke or I mis heard yesterday, so Well, cancel the fanfare, looks like CO Springs is the cheapest so far at $5.95/gal.
