race fuel in stock apex

Just got my hands on a jug of 110 and am wondering if anyone if running a mix in their stock (motor wise) apexes?

If so could you provide some details to the mix and if it actually helps anything.

thanks in advance.

race fuel in your stock motor will do nothing but hurt performance, it runs colder for higher compression motors, it will make it run like its too rich, stick to pump fuel unless your up compression or turbo or supercharge it.

My brother put some of my 110 I run in my boosted sled in his Apex and it ran BAD!!!!

Total waste of money and fuel,as Holiday says, even running premium isn't necessary.

An EFI sled should compensate for the change in octane. It has a O2 sensor.

Still no good reason to run race gas in a stock motor:confused:

Yes it does have an O2 sensor but for one it is a narrow band O2 and even if it was a wideband unless the ecu has a map in it to adjust for the higher octane it wont add timing or lean out the mixture. If the ecu could make all the adjustments based off the O2 reading people wouldn't spend big bucks to have say their race car tuned for race gas.
