anyone have a snow update for bluff pass or rabbit ears? Supposed to head out Wednesday, debating headed to snowy's instead as they got a lot of fresh out of the last storm.

I have no idea about the passes but my buddy was at Steamboat Springs today Snowboarding in 10" new inches of powder, so I would assume those areas got hit as well.

Is most of the riding from rabbit ears in the 8-10,000 foot range? Wondering for clutching

ears update

rode yesterday 3/6 in whiteout conditions. down by muddy creek lot there was about 8-10" windblown fresh on super hardpack snow/ice. the closer you got to the tower, the better the snow got. in the trees and north facing stuff was real good. if it snowed today, tomorrow would be the shiznit. thursday would probably be legit too but it said 44 in the boat for wed. so some settling i'm sure.

Rode today.Crazy windy when we got there, near whiteout, winds mellowed during the day.20 degrees in lot much colder the higher you got. Go anywhere base with 2 inches new to 1 foot fresh depending on angle to wind.
Rode fresh all day and didn't get more than 6 miles straight line from lot. If I had off tomorrow I'd be back up there.

Have fun, worth the drive :):face-icon-small-hap

heading to craig co this weekend thinking about bringing the sled where would be a good place to ride thanks for any info

blk mtn is 12 miles north of craig and has groomed trails and something for everyone, I can show you around 1 of the days if you like, also there is the flat tops 30min south of craig and 45 min east is rabbit ears/buff pass

Just wondering if anyone has rode up there lately and if they got any snow out of this system? Thinking about coming out this weekend.

Not me. But there's a lot of activity in the area. Not sure what it'll amount to.

These shots are current conditions at 7:10 pm MST. Any guys out there with the knowledge to explain what's going on and where the snow will be? I've been reading all the forecasts etc but am trying to learn for myself so we can adjust plans on the fly. Just leaving central MN.
