quiet nytro exhaust

I would like to make my nytro mtx quieter then stock. Does anyone make a system? One of my thoughts was to ditch the stock muffler for a much larger auto muffler. I was thinking I could maintain my power with a much larger muffler, but make it quieter at the same time. Has anyone tried doubling up two mufflers? or just adding a second muffler to the stock one? I don't know much about exhaust setups, but would a very large muffler make things quieter for me and at the same time keep my power?

Only If you don't care about the Weight.

Some turbo systems that go through the stock muffler are actually quieter than stock.

Just a thought!!!!

Simons as well as Powderlights used to offer sleeper turbo set ups like that.

Cheers........

I'm with powdermuncher... put a turbo ahead of that muffler, it will run much quieter. :beer;:D

as far as noise goes, most people last year thought my Nytro was stock till i opened it up while climbing, then they realized it was slightly louder and they would here the turbo/BOV once i let off. i've got the MCX kit on my mtx.

most of the turbo cars i've dealt with are still pretty reasonable till you floor it even with aftermarket exhausts and sometimes even with no muffler.

My thinking was I could ditch the stock exhaust and put something larger on. If it weighed the same I would be OK with it. What is the header pipe size going into the muffler?
