Quickdrive durability

Thx guys for your help, but i have a few more questions.

I have since received my sled and was wondering the following;

Snow can easily get to the quickdrive, will that make it slip?
Can snow and ice accumulate under the the belt on the bottom floor and if so, is that an issue?
Do you recommend installing some sort of protection under the sled where the quickdrive is located?

Thx

The belt is toothed. Slipping will not occur unless it strips. Haven't seen that happen. Snow and ice accumulation has not been an issue. Several manufacturers make belt guards but I don't think they are necessary either. I have been running the QD system since 2013 without a single problem. It is simple, light and effective.

With riding style comes a new set of issues. Your very lucky. I have piles of belts and little pieces of belt and broken drive shafts that have failed and left people stranded or flying down the hill without brakes. Its all about how much risk you are will to carry with you while you ride. Snow and ice build can be an issue for some people. We just get in the habit of clearing the build up.
